Teaching Philosophy
The Art Nook is all about sparking creativity and imagination! Art is one of the most important means of self expression and confidence building.
Creating art helps children develop other skills that will benefit them greatly later in life as they learn to invent, create, and discover new ways to do things. The best way for children to learn and be creative is through experimentation and creative risk taking.

Our goal is to see that your children leave the studio having enjoyed the creative process. They should feel confident and proud of their efforts and finished pieces.

Most importantly, art should be fun!!

Summer Camp & Workshops
When school is out, art is in! During the summer months and school holidays, the studio is buzzing with busy hands, flying paint, and the joy of new discoveries!

Kids Classes
Rooted in fine art principles and slathered in individual expression, our art classes for toddlers to teens are designed to excite and inspire, whether it's their first time through the door or the 400th!

Class sizes are kept small, allowing students to receive plenty of individual attention and the ability to work at their own pace and skill level.

The Space
The Art Nook is located in my home in a bright, finished, air conditioned basement space with multiple windows. The space has a bathroom and separate side entrance. The studio location is in a safe and quiet neighborhood with a backyard that has a gate into a secluded section of Goffle Brook Park. Some camp sessions may be held in the park, some on the shaded outdoor deck space, and some in the basement space.
